My name is Genae-Valecia Hinesman and I would like to welcome you to my online writing gallery, "Muse-ings".  Why an online gallery, you may ask?  Imagine entering an art gallery where a diverse array of an artist's work is on display.  The examples shown are presented for your casual perusal, general enjoyment, analysis, or critique.  While there, you develop an overall sense of the skill level and the general creative direction of the artist whose work you came to see.

 

   You might find the artist to be present and have the opportunity to discuss their work with them.  That is the idea that I had in mind when I decided to create this place to share selections of my work, convey a bit about myself as a writer, and also tell how I regard the creative process.  As for the title, "Muse-ings".....well, that stems from my penchant for the mythology of ancient cultures.  As a way of honoring the Muses of ancient Greece, known as the nine Spirits/Goddesses who gave creative inspiration to humanity, I thought it seemed like the perfect name.
